A pair of bills have been introduced in the House and Senate that would appropriate $150 million to complete the expansion of Highway 169 from two lanes to a four-lane highway. S.F. 130 (Farnsworth) and H.F. 635 (Igo) have been referred to the Senate Transportation and House Transportation Finance & Policy committees respectively and are expected to receive a hearing later in session. While it’s unlikely that the final outcome will see the full $150 million appropriation, these bills are the first step to securing some of the much-needed funding to finish Highway 169.
